Project Spark is getting a Year One Edition. This special edition will be available soon and will contain every piece of the 40 content packs currently available for Project Spark (excluding Conker) whilst also having built-in pre-orders to the upcoming Biome Music and Battle Stations packs. In total, there are about 1,500 assets in the Year One package.

Nexon, a highly regarded developer of many free-to-play titles, have announced that they are working in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment, to create a free-to-play version of Titanfall. Their debut title, which was an Xbox console exclusive, will be seeing a second release on PC as exclusive to the Asian market. Details are scarce currently, however we know the title is to be named ‘Titanfall Online’. The game is expected to implement micro-transactions, and while the current paid version does not include them, the existing structure would allow this feature to be implemented with ease.

The Coalition is hard at work on Gears of War 4 and adding the finishing touches on Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Today, the studio released a Remastering Gears of War video series. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition taps into the nostalgia and feel of the original, while bringing over the best elements from later games. So far two videos have been released. You may have seen the amazing opening cinematic a few days ago. Today, a behind-the-scenes look was released with more videos to follow each week.

For months now, rumors have circulated about an Intel-powered Windows 10 phone. However, now that it seems like we have more information about this fabled device. It is expected that the smartphone will hit the market in Q2 2016. The handset will supposedly run on Intel's 64-bit X3 Sofia chipset and will be constructed from metal. Yes, you heard that right, metal. Well, to be more specific, from the same liquid metal Surface tablets are made out of.

Game Troopers revealed earlier this month that they were working on a number of games for Windows Phone including Abyss. While the title was initially delayed, Game Troopers just released Abyss for the platform. The game costs $2.99 and supports devices with 512MB of RAM. The developer also confirmed the launch of Abyss for Windows 8 and 10 as a universal app so users can play it on all of their Microsoft devices.

Xbox's Summer Arcade promotion has been renamed to Xbox Summer Spotlight. The promotion will run from Wednesday, July 29 to August 31. The promotion will bring Xbox One fans more than 25 new digital games to play, with new releases coming out each week, for five weeks. Some titles like Squid Hero for Kinect are already available on Xbox One. Magic Duels: Origins should be coming in a day or two also. The trailer shows off some amazing games and the next few weeks will surely be a lot of fun. I can't wait to try them all.

Mojang recently announced Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition and anyone who purchased the Windows and Mac version can get this new edition for free. Mojang detailed the process of obtaining a Windows 10 Edition key today. Customers need to log into their account on Mojang's website, click the redeem button, sign into the Windows Store, and claim their free copy. Windows 10 is required to play this version of the game. Considering that Windows 10 is a free upgrade, that's a pretty good deal for existing customers.

After months of new features and opportunities released to Windows Insiders, Windows 10 is beginning to roll out worldwide. Those who were previously running Windows Insider preview builds can keep their current install, and users on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 can upgrade for free. While many reserved earlier in the year, the following twelve months still allow Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 copies to be upgraded for free. The update is not available for all, and will appear on a variety of machines over the coming days. With the launch, many events are scheduled worldwide.

King’s Quest and World of Tanks are now available to download and play on Xbox One. World of Tanks actually was available to pre-download for a while now but the servers went live today. The title is a free-to-play game that features microtransactions. The download comes in at around 30 GB after the initial install. King’s Quest on the other hand costs $9.99 or $39.99 for the entire game as it’s releasing in episodes. The game right now is an 11 GB install.

Squid Hero for Kinect is now available to download on Xbox One. The title is a little over 1 GB and costs $9.99. The game features unique Kinect controls and looks like a lot of fun. Squid Hero saves the planet from a new ice age! Travel across the world on this cheery and colorful adventure for all ages, using the power of Kinect to smash thousands of encroaching chunks of ice. Bring a friend or family member along! The whole game can be played in 2-player co-op mode.

Publisher of the Mafia franchise, 2K Games, have announced via Twitter that a worldwide reveal is scheduled for next week at Gamescom, for Mafia 3. A trailer will be arriving on Wednesday, August 5, which happens to be the first day of the event. The announcement trailer will arrive online at 8am ET/1pm GMT, however the distribution method is not yet known. This is not a massive surprise, after rumours arrived stating the game was now in full development at 2K Czech. This developer also worked on the previous entry to the franchise, Mafia 2, which shipped 5 years ago.

For the month of August, Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games. Two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360 as part of the Games with Gold program. On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes which usually costs $19.99 for free during the month of August. How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition which also costs $19.99 will be available as a free download from August 16 to September 15.

I finished the Witcher 3 and the majority of side quests in June and have since been exploring Skellige. I really wanted to change my approach to the game after playing through it once but didn't want to have to start from scratch. While redoing the quests is fine, having to level up another forty times seemed like a daunting task. CD Projekt RED just announced that The Witcher 3's last free add-on will be the addition of a New Game Plus mode.

After controversies around Hulk Hogan arose earlier this week, regarding racist language recorded on video, he has been fired from WWE. Last Friday, Hulk Hogan, also known as ‘Terry Gene Bollea’, was fired from World Wrestling Entertainment due to recordings of extremely offensive language that surfaced from 2007. Since, it has been announced that WWE 2K16 will not include Hulk Hogan in the roster, as he no longer is with WWE, and is not planned to return. While it is understandable, it also appears that the paid DLC for the wrestler has been removed from the current title, WWE 2K15.
