Following Codemaster’s fantastic F1 2016, the next entry in the yearly Formula 1 racing sim will be releasing this August with a host of improvements and new gameplay types.

With a planned August 25th release, F1 2017 will make substantial improvements to its career mode and multiplayer, as well as including a brand-new game mode called Championships. Lee Mather, Creative Director at Codemasters, said, “For the first time ever F1 2017 fully integrates the classic experience into the main career mode. As part of your career you will be invited to race in modern day, international events in the different classic F1 cars throughout the season. We’re also adding to the variety in F1 2017 with the inclusion of four alternative circuit layouts, as well as numerous new gameplay types.”

Codemasters have already shown off three of their classic cars with their “Make History” trailer. The trailer shows off beautiful renders of the 1988 McLaren MP44, the 1992 Williams FW14B, and the 2002 Ferrari F2002.

If the game is anywhere near as good as last year’s entry, F1 2017 will be a fantastic racer for the serious, simulation crowd. Check out our review of F1 2016 here.
