In a special message on YouTube, developers at Dontnod revealed that they have been working on a new Life is Strange game since last year.

Commemorating passing 3 million unique players, the developers thanked fans for their continued support and letters. As the team is asked often what they are doing next, they have finally said that they have been working on the next Life is Strange game since the boxed version came out in January 2016. Unfortunately, that's all they have revealed so far, and we won't be hearing any news about it at this year's E3 either.

"We can’t wait to tell you all about it when the time is right, but for now we are hard at work ensuring it is the very best game we can create. We’re really thankful for your patience thus far and ask for a bit more time. The new game will not be at E3 in June this year but we will be watching the show alongside you all and wish everyone good luck!" said the game's official blog.

Though the Life is Strange team has been busy with its sequel, Dontnod is also currently working on Vampyr, a dark action-RPG releasing this year. Vampyr follows a vampire doctor during the Spanish flu pandemic in London.

Life is Strange touched the hearts of many with its story of Max and Chloe, and its fans have been eagerly awaiting this announcement. Are you excited for the sequel? Let us know in the comments.
