According to the online retailer, all versions of the Xbox One S, which will launch in August, were sold out completely with the website only stating that they will have preorder consignment again at a later date. There’s no word on when that might be though.
This isn’t the first time, with the 2 TB unit selling out earlier last month after Microsoft announced it at E3. The Xbox One S builds on the original Xbox One, giving gamers and media enthusiasts the most affordable 4K experience. The Xbox One S will feature a 4K UHD Blu-ray player, 4K upscaling for games, HDR, and a 40% smaller footprint, which was one of the gripes many had with the original model.
Microsoft has yet to announce the official launch date in August, but we do know this date is for a worldwide launch. The 500 GB and 1 TB versions have release dates in the holiday time period but that might be pushed forward depending on when the 2 TB console launches.
