After a notable absence last year, Assassin’s Creed is once again set to take center stage at Ubisoft’s press conference today along with Far Cry 5. The company released a short E3 teaser trailer over a week ago hinting at even more surprises in store for fans as well. With the conference now upon us, stay tuned as we run down every announcement from the event.
Assassin’s Creed Origins
After being unveiled yesterday at Microsoft’s press conference, Assassin’s Creed Origins was introduced today by Game Director Ashraf Ismail. He spoke about the challenges of reinventing what it meant to be Assassin’s Creed in ancient Egypt. Another trailer was shown giving players a good look at the Egyptian landscape and wildlife.
The Crew 2
A trailer for The Crew 2 debuted showing cars, bikes, planes, and other vehicles racing across varied terrains. It also received an extended gameplay walkthrough. The Crew 2 will release early 2018.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole
A new trailer for South Park: The Fractured But Whole was shown. It is set to launch on October 17, 2017.
Virtual Reality
Elijah Wood introduced a new virtual reality game from Ubisoft. Transference will be available spring 2018.
Skull and Bones
A new IP from Ubisoft Singapore, Skull and Bones, was announced. It takes place in 1721 on the Indian Ocean. The game was inspired by the naval combat in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Multiplayer and PvP gameplay was showcased. Looks like Sea of Thieves might have some competition! Skull and Bones will release fall 2018.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas
Ubisoft Toronto is developing a new sci-fi IP set on alien planets. Players take control of pilots in a massive star system. It will release fall 2018.
Steep
Steep is receiving its first expansion on December 5.
Far Cry 5
We finally got an extended look at Far Cry 5. The player must survive in Hope County, Montana, a fictional town overrun by religious fanatics.
Beyond Good and Evil 2
Beyond Good and Evil 2 received its first trailer!
