Battalion 1944 stretch goals revealed, include single-player campaign

Update: It doesn’t look like the game will get a single-player campaign. There are only 40 hours left and the total stands at £295,000. For a single-player campaign it needs £1.2 million which seems impossible at this point.

Battallion 1944 was funded in just 3 days on Kickstarter. Its return to the World War II era of the FPS genre is what a lot of gamers have been asking for, and they showed it with their pledges. Today, with only six days left to fund the Kickstarter, Bulkhead Interactive has revealed the stretch goals.

The first stretch goal of hiring a full-time community manager has already been funded. Nine other goals, ten in total, were announced, including a single player campaign to be implemented at its highest stretch goal of 1.2 million pounds. Other goals include the British army at £325,000, the Russian army at £400,000, extra customization items, an offline horde mode where you can practice your skills prior to jumping online, a D-Day map, and other map expansions.

A World War II themed single-player campaign is something that I’ve been wanting for a while now, along with many others. Hopefully Bulkhead can meet their goal. You can check out the full list of stretch goals and choose to make a pledge at the Battalion 1944 Kickstarter page here, but keep in mind that there’s only six days left before the campaign ends.
