Square Enix, Ubitus—a company known for cloud-gaming in China—and Microsoft have seemingly teamed up in order to bring cloud-gaming to eligible beta participants in China. A page on the Xbox Chinese website allows users who live in either Beijing, Shanghai or Canton to sign up to attempt to get beta access to the upcoming service.
According to Twitter user ZhugeEX, the cloud-streaming service will require users to download a 160-megabyte file to start streaming games to your Xbox One. The only confirmed game that will be available to be streamed during this beta will be last-gen’s Final Fantasy XIII, a game that Ubitus originally got to stream onto Chromecast devices titled Final Fantasy XIII Google Cast Edition.

According to ZhugeEX, there also seems to be a Final Fantasy XV version in the works although this is not confirmed. While cloud-streaming is a huge part of Japanese gaming already, such as the FF XIII Google Cast Edition, how do you feel about being able to stream games to your Xbox One? While cloud-gaming hasn’t been all that successful in the west, do you want Microsoft to bring this streaming service overseas? Tell us in the comments below.
