Studio MDHR has stated that they will look into the possibility of adding online multiplayer to Cuphead sometime after launch. When asked by a few fans on Twitter, the studio said that the game would only feature couch co-op at launch and clarified that online multiplayer may be added in the future.
@FoG_Sticky Not at launch, but we will look into it right after Cuphead is released!

@PNF4LYFE No “online” multiplayer, but couch co-op exists, of course!

Cuphead is set to launch on Xbox One and PC in 2016 and features beautifully drawn graphics made to look like classic cartoons. I highly recommend keeping an eye on this game as it has such a unique aesthetic and it’s wonderful to see such indie games get recognition.
