Download sizes for various Xbox One games revealed

Update: Mighty No. 9 comes in at 7 GB and Superhot comes in at 4 GB on Xbox One.

New listings on the Xbox Store have revealed the file sizes for three upcoming triple-A releases. The store shows us how much space Doom, Battleborn and Homefront: The Revolution will take up on out hard drives.

Battleborn has the smallest file size out of the three, probably due to how its single-player campaign will be updated in an episodic format instead of everything being available at launch. The multiplayer-focused shooter is just 19.7 gigabytes just four gigabytes under Gearbox’s remaster of Borderlands 2 and six gigabytes larger than Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Battleborn releases on May 3rd.

The sequel to Kaos Studios 2011 shooter, Homefront, Homefront: The Revolution, sits in the middle of the file sizes for the three games clocking in at 34.42 gigabytes. Homefront will feature a full open-world with a single-player campaign as well as a cooperative multiplayer component for up to four players. Homefront: The Revolution releases on May 17th.

The file size for the id Software’s reboot of Doom has also been revealed. The reboot—which will feature a thirteen-hour campaign, multiplayer and one of the most fleshed-out level editors on console—will weigh in at a total of 45.04 GB.

For comparison, the 1993 original had a file size of only 2.39 megabytes, the 1.9 version of Doom II is only 6 megabytes and the 2004 threequel Doom 3 is only 1.57 gigabytes. The Doom series is a great example of how file sizes changed throughout the years.
