Elite: Dangerous runs at 1080p on Xbox One

Elite: Dangerous releases October 6 on Xbox One. It’s an amazing space simulator and enables you to play the game however you want. There’s a steep learning curve but once you master the environment, it becomes a tremendously enjoyable and rewarding experience. GamingBolt spoke to Gary Richards, the senior producer for the Xbox One version, and asked about the resolution and frame rate.

With regards to the resolution and frame rate, Richards said that the massively multiplayer open galaxy would run at 1080p 30 FPS. The multiplayer component would run at 1080p 60 FPS. Richards added, “We hit 1080p 30 FPS in the massively multiplayer open galaxy, and 1080p 60 FPS in our dedicated PVP mode, Close Quarter Combat.”

Close Quarter Combat involves fighting other ships in a small arena. It’s a lot of fun and supremely challenging. Some of those players are amazing. So far I’ve only been able to destroy one ship. Are you excited for this game? Remember, it’s also getting the ability to land on planets soon.
