Rise of the Tomb Raider is almost here and with the successful reboot of the franchise, a new Tomb Raider movie should be coming soon. Crystal Dynamics’ Michael Brinker, the senior designer for Rise of the Tomb Raider, talked about who he wanted to see star in the next Tomb Raider movie. He said, “Oh man, that’s a tough one. To be honest, I actually met Lara Croft’s voice and motion-capture actor Camilla Luddington and I think she’s fantastic in her portrayal of Lara. I wouldn’t mind seeing her have a crack at actually bringing the character to the screen. I think that’d be pretty cool. She’s really embodied a lot of what I feel like Lara is, even just in her voice. I’d love to see what she’d do with it on the big screen.
While the development team has no real power when it comes to casting decisions, it would be interesting to see Camilla play the iconic character. What do you think? Do you like the idea?
