Here’s your daily Xbox One briefing

Every little piece of information we learn about video games can’t be classified as a story in itself. While we’d love to talk more about everything, the fact is that resources don’t permit us to discuss titles beyond ones we feel will resonate with our readers. Keeping that in mind, the stories still deserve attention so we’ve invented the daily briefing to get you up to speed.

Banner Saga 3

Banner Saga 3 ended its successful Kickstarter goal and even unlocked four stretch goals.

Blackwood Crossing

PaperSeven today announced that their story-driven adventure game, Blackwood Crossing, will be launching on PlayStation 4 on Tuesday, April 4, and for Xbox One and PC on Wednesday, April 5. The game will be priced at $16 in the United States, with £13 or €16 pricing for the United Kingdom and Europe.

Conan Exiles

Microsoft said that Conan Exiles may feature frontal nudity if ESRB allows it.

The Division

According to the makers of The Division, they are looking to reengage players in light of the first year celebration for the game by recommitting themselves to the game in the upcoming twelve months. They will be delivering two separate expansion packs for the game free to everybody in the next twelve months.

Ghost Recon Wildlands

Ubisoft detailed known Ghost Recon Wildlands issues and promised a fix.

Homefront: The Revolution

This week, Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios released the Spring Update for Homefront: The Revolution. This includes a generous free trial version of the game for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the third and final piece of additional single-player content, Beyond The Walls, and a dedicated patch for PlayStation 4 Pro owners.

This trial version of the game, available on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, contains the entire first Red Zone, offering up to four hours of single-player gameplay, and unlimited access to Resistance Mode, the online co-op mode in Homefront: The Revolution.

Just Cause

There’s a Just Cause movie in development with Game of Thrones’ Jason Momoa.

Late Shift

Remember The Bunker? Well, Wales Interactive is at it again with a live-action crime thriller. The game features seven different endings so every choice matters. The title will release on Xbox One and other platforms this April.

Path of Exile

Path of Exile is an online-only game, but it doesn’t require Xbox Live Gold unless you’re going to party up with other players.

Phantom Trigger

Phantom Trigger is a hardcore neon slasher with role-playing and roguelike elements. Figure out what’s real as you follow the story of Stan on a journey through surreal and twisted worlds. The game was announced for PC but a console release was teased. It might be Xbox One or it might not be, either ways, the game looks great.

Skype

A new Skype experience is available to Preview members.

Steep

Today, Ubisoft announced that the first free weekend for Steep, will be available this weekend beginning March 10 on Xbox One, PlayStation4 and Windows. Players who dream of pulling off insane ski and snowboard tricks in the extreme peaks of Mount Denali and the Matterhorn, paragliding over the icefields of Mont Blanc, or wingsuiting through the Alaska massive glaciers, can participate in the free weekend by visiting steepgame.com/freeweekend and choosing their platform.

Thimbleweed Park

Thimbleweed Park supports Xbox Play Anywhere.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap

DotEmu, a developer and publisher specializing in modern releases of beloved retro games, and Lizardcube, are thrilled to announce that Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap will be available on April 18 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It will release on PC a few weeks later.
