Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco Games have announced their plans for several new tracks to be added to Project CARS’ already extensive roster.
Joining the set of iconic tracks in Project CARS’ are four new tracks, each located in different parts of the world.
The new tracks that have been locked in include California’s Sonoma Raceway (formerly Sears Point Raceway/Infineon Raceway) and home to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Belgium’s most renowned track Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (host of the Formula One Grand Prix), the Willow Springs International Motorsports Park, the oldest permanent road course in the US and the Brno Circuit, which was opened in 1987 and has been host to the World Sports Car Championship and the A1 Grand Prix.
These four tracks join the roster of what Slightly Mad Studios claim to be the “largest roster of race locations of any recent racing game.” The full list of the currently announced tracks can be seen here. (There is still one set of tracks to be announced.)
Late last week, Project CARS suffered a third delay, pushing the previously slated release date of mid-April to a pushed back date of May.
This again shows that the developers are determined to show everyone that Project CARS is and will be the “next big racer.” How excited are you about Project CARS? Let us know.
