Press Play want your input as they develop Project Knoxville

Press Play, the studio probably best known for puzzle platformer Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, recently announced their new survival game, Project Knoxville. The game was one of three projects Xbox fans could vote for, and in the end won the vote by a considerable margin. Project Knoxville is a third-person multiplayer game in which you are thrown into an arena to complete survival based objectives. Modeled on such movies like The Hunger Games, you can either choose to work with other players, or against them.

Jez Corden of Windows Central was recently joined by Press Play’s community manager Soren Stanley Balslev and project lead Mikkel Thorsted to discuss all things Project Knoxville. Mikkel and Soren talked about how they decided to involve the community in the development of their new project, as many games today are developed in secret, without knowing if players will even like it. Press Play also want to make the game so dynamic, that you will not be able to guess players behaviour.

They went on to mention that they are leaning towards customizable characters with skill trees, and looking at every way to get spectators involved with the game. What Press Play are doing is an excellent idea, letting Xbox fans help shape and development their game. Will you be getting involved? We would love to hear your views on the comments below.
