Red Dead Redemption finally hit Xbox One’s backward compatibility today and Xbox One owners are already shooting rabbits and herding cattle throughout the Wild West. Eurogamer’s Digital Foundry have already completed their analysis of the game’s first two acts and the game performs much better than the original 360 release.
Not only are the majority of performance drops not present on Xbox One but the screen tearing found along the top of the screen on Xbox 360 has also disappeared thanks to the forced v-sync solution that all backward compatible games use. The game is not updated visually, however, as the game is running through emulation and is not a remaster of the last-gen game. Check out the analysis below.
