Sling Television added six new channels to its streaming service today. People who subscribe to the $20 a month basic package will now get the History Channel, H2, Lifetime and A&E in addition to stations like like ESPN, CNN and TNT.
People who pay an extra $5 for the Lifestyle package will now get the Lifetime Movie Network in addition to truTV, Cooking Channel, DIY Network and WE tv.
Content from those channels, including shows like Project Runway, The Returned and Pawn Stars will be available live and through Sling’s three-day replay video on demand feature. Users can watch them either as the show airs or after.
Sling Television is a downloadable application on the Xbox One Store and is the only internet cable provider available to everyone at this moment. Be sure to check it out because Xbox Live Members get a one-month free trial. I’ve been using it myself and it’s absolutely phenomenal.
