According to reports from industry-leading outlet MCV, the Xbox One S has pushed total sales of the Xbox One up by 75% during the last week. This isn’t the first news of a massive boost in sales for the Xbox in general. According to NPD, the Xbox One managed to outsell the PlayStation 4 in the US by a large margin. This is even before the new Xbox One S launched, which have already sold out across all markets where it’s available.
Microsoft hasn’t disclosed official sales figures, but we expect demand will remain high until the smaller SKU’s launch on the August 23.
The Xbox One S launched in the US, UK, and other regions this month and features a 4K UHD Blu-ray drive, 4K upscaling for games, a 40% smaller build, and integrated power supply, amongst other things.
