Phil Spencer shoots down rumors of Xbox Scorpio downgrade

Ever since Xbox Scorpio was revealed, PlayStation fanboys have been whining and complaining about how it’s 2 TFLOPS more powerful than the PlayStation 4 Pro. Just hearing them keep on bashing the project is getting a little tiresome to be honest. They just can’t believe it so now on various forums including Facebook, Twitter and NeoGAF, supposed insiders who love PlayStation so much have started to make up rumors. They’re quoting fictitious Phil Spencer interviews and quoting “secret” information they have from Chinese manufacturers working on the project. That interview and those documents don’t exist. This is all in an effort to either harm the Xbox brand or just make them feel better about the fact that the PlayStation 4 Pro is significantly less powerful than Microsoft’s upcoming console. I don’t know but this behavior is not normal to say the least.

The fact is that they’re flat out lying that the Xbox Scorpio has been downgraded to 5 TFLOPS or 4.2 TFLOPS just like the PlayStation 4 Pro. That’s hilarious, but also dishonest and ridiculous. Phil Spencer quickly shot them down and since then they’ve been crying even more, even going so far as to call Spencer a liar.

@MasyerGaming Nothing has changed since our announce.

@XboxWhats Looking forward to E3. We build our Xbox plans for Xbox customers, not in response to others. I think 2017 will be a good year.

We’ve reached out to numerous Microsoft employees since these rumors started and everyone has said there’s no downgrade. Now even Spencer has stated that so hopefully we can put these rumors to rest because they’re pathetic and desperate, for lack of better words.

Just because you love PlayStation so much and can’t accept the fact that the PlayStation 4 Pro is vastly underpowered compared to the Xbox Scorpio doesn’t mean you should make up lies. Not only are you destroying your own credibility but you’re also coming across as complete idiots, again, for lack of a better word. Now that I’ve finished this article, let me go to Twitter to see their world burning down. I just don’t get why these people do this. It boggles my mind.
