Update: World of Tanks runs at 1800p on PlayStation 4 Pro which is significantly less than native 4K. Even the developer admitted this on the PlayStation Blog.
The free-to-play tank shooter, World of Tanks, will be seeing an upgrade for Microsoft’s upcoming Project Scorpio.
With its console debut on Xbox 360 and a healthy community still on Xbox One, developers Wargaming are more than happy to continue supporting Xbox owners with the release of Scorpio. The creative director of World of Tanks. TJ Wanger, recently stated in a developer Q&A that, “We plan to fully support Scorpio and are already running on it at full 4K resolution and it looks fantastic.”
It seems that the upgrade to Scorpio from Xbox One is not only a massive bump for gamers, but the process doesn’t seem to require much effort or manpower at all due to the console’s brute strength. Who knows what other upgrades we could see to the Scorpio version of World of Tanks when it releases.
