Ever since Xbox Scorpio was revealed, we don’t know what the console looks like despite the fact that it’s been months. The only images we’ve received were silhouettes in the reveal trailer. If we make the assumption that what was shown during the trailer was similar to the final product, or at least a prototype, we may be able to determine what the design entails.
You can see glimpses of the design towards the end of the trailer including the vertical power button.

Now let’s examine the screenshots in greater detail. The console appears to be taller than a standard Xbox One S with around the same thickness, maybe a little thicker. It has an Xbox logo at the top right and doesn’t appear to have vents on at least 75% of its top panel. The rest is too dark to see. As stated before, the power button is vertical and there might be USB ports between the power button and the 4K Blu-ray drive which may have caused the discoloration when the exposure was adjusted in Photoshop. Lastly, the console appears to be white and reflective.
We’re looking at a console which is quite similar to the Xbox One S which, in my opinion, is an absolutely gorgeous piece of engineering and design. In order to show you what we thought the console may look like based off the trailer, we got designers Jay Williams and Shaun LaBrie to help us out.
Here are two versions designed by Jay Williams which showcase a console which is taller than the Xbox One S. Due to the fact that the bottom third of the console was completely dark in the trailer, it may have a vent or some pattern there.

Here are two versions designed by Shaun LaBrie which showcase a different vent style but the overall shape is the same. The console has a very angular look based off the trailer.
Given the position of the power button and the way it lights up in the trailer, it seems that the console is designed to be housed vertically instead of how the original Xbox One sat in your cabinet. These images represent what we believe is a close approximation of the design of the Xbox Scorpio from the trailer. While this might change, we feel that Microsoft will stick to a form factor similar to the Xbox One S due to its compact and efficient nature. Only time will tell how close we were to the actual device but until then you can enjoy this speculation.
