Xbox One Elite Console listed online

Recently, US retailer Walmart listed a product named ‘Xbox One Elite Console’ on their store site. The listing had no image, however was available for pre-order for $499.00. The ship date was listed as December 31st, but is most likely a placeholder for a date earlier in the year. It is unclear what the package will contain, and could be a potential new console, or a bundle of items. The listing has since been removed.

The Xbox 360 Elite was an edition of the console that released after the initial launch, and came with a larger hard drive, and many new features. It is unlikely we will see a new console release this year, and is most likely a bundle of existing products. We have recently received the 1TB console and Xbox One Elite controller, and when packaged together and slightly discounted, could easily have a $500 price point.

The controller is aimed towards a specific group of competitive gamers, however may be the extra offer to move a competitive player over, ready for some major blockbusters this year. If this bundle is widely distributed, it is possible we may hear more about it from Gamescom this August.

We will keep you updated as the story progresses.
