According to Punch Jump, a retail and business news site, the Xbox One S managed to become the third most popular preorder product at Best Buy’s video games division this month. Microsoft announced the Xbox One S at this year’s E3, surprising fans, and their competition. The Xbox One S is also making some headway on the Amazon.com site, after selling out temporarily last week.
The Xbox One S is set to launch on August 31 according to Amazon, and will ship worldwide. The new updated console will feature a 4K UHD Blu-Ray drive, HDR, 4K Upscaling on games, a 40% smaller footprint with an internal power supply. The console retails at around $299 for the 500 GB version, with the limited edition 2 TB Xbox One S selling at $399.
