Bethesda has a lot of surprises up its sleeve and a lot will be revealed today. We’ll get footage from Dishonored 2 and maybe the next Elder Scrolls game will be announced. Who knows? To see what really happened, be sure to check out this summary of all the major announcements.
Quake Champions
Bethesda just revealed Quake Champions. id Software claims it will set new standards for multiplayer. The game will run at 120 Hz with an unlock frame rate and will be on PC only.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends
The card game will have a campaign. It’ll also be available on numerous mobile devices.
Fallout 4
Contraptions add-on will come to Fallout 4 next week. In July the game will get a vault building add-on. Additionally, in August Nuka World will come to the game.
Fallout Shelter
The mobile game will get a massive update with new locations and features. The game is also coming to PC.
Skyrim: Special Edition
A remastered version of Skyrim was confirmed for Xbox One and other platforms. The game will release on October 28 and will feature mods on consoles. The textures are also higher resolution than what were available on the Windows version previously even if you factor in the separate graphics pack. If you own all the add-ons or Legendary Edition on Steam, you’ll be upgraded to the Special Edition for free. A collector’s edition for Skyrim: Special Edition will also be available.
Prey
A Prey reboot was confirmed. The game will take place on a space station overrun by aliens. It looks like a horror title.
Doom
Doom SnapMap will be getting major updates and the first add-ons will be coming soon too. Starting today the first level of the game will also be available to play for free on all platforms.
The Elder Scrolls Online
The game has seven million players and will be launching in Japan soon. The Dark Brotherhood expansion is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 soon. The game will also remove level restrictions so anyone can play with anyone.
Virtual Reality
Fallout 4 is coming to virtual reality along with Doom. Fallout 4 will be released on the HTC Vive platform. Doom will come there soon too.
Dishonored 2
Bethesda showcased in-engine footage from the title. It looked quite incredible and unique. Later on gameplay was shown and it was revealed that the game takes place fifteen years after the events of the first title. The collector’s edition was also revealed. Preordering the game will get you the original game’s definite edition for a limited time.
