Update: Lost Odyssey is now backward compatible along with Toy Story 3 and Guwange. No word on when Blue Dragon is coming.
Backward compatibility is one of the best features of the Xbox One when compared to Sony’s machine but as of now it is limited with some of the bigger Xbox 360 titles still not being available to play on Xbox One along with a severe lack of the 360’s JRPG titles.
Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has said that the backward compatible team are hard at work to bring two of the 360’s greatest JRPG’s, Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, to the Xbox One. Initially, problems with these titles would have arisen due to the multiple discs that both games use. Recently, however, the Xbox team found a way around the multiple disc issues when they brought over the Director’s Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution to backward compatibility.
