Those of you who keep up with my Forza articles will remember me writing about the Forza Horizon 2 Pre-Order Car Pack when it was revealed unintentionally on a Turn 10 Studios livestream on Twitch. Once again, the same thing has happened on a stream yesterday resulting in the Duracell Car Pack being confirmed for the game and would most likely be scheduled to launch in June.
In the picture above, there looks to be the Camaro Z28 and BMW E34. Of course, while we can say those will be in the pack, there will most likely be four other cars which are currently unknown. As for the name “Duracell,” I have no idea why it’s even called that we’re probably not going to find out until it launches next Tuesday (which is my expected release date for the pack). Pricing will most likely be $5 with one of the cars available to everyone for free. It will not be included with the Car/Season Pass.
As I mentioned, this isn’t the first time such a thing has happened. While I was able to research all of the cars from the Pre-Order Car Pack, this one I can’t as they’re all brand new to the game. While I’ve assumed the Camaro Z28 and BMW E34 is coming, that’s only based on the image that was shown in the stream. The reason this would’ve been shown would be as a promotional image inside the games menus as Turn 10 employees would normally be running newer builds of the game.
It’s also worth mentioning, yesterday I wrote about Playground Games working a new top-secret project which I believe to be Forza Horizon 3. I also believe there will be another expansion (like Storm Island) announced at E3 for Forza Horizon 2 while launching shortly afterwards. The Duracell Car Pack may possibly be one of the last car packs for the game.
As always for every car pack, I’ll keep you updated! Let me know in the comments what cars you would like to see added to Forza Horizon 2.
