As the date comes closer, Halo fans are getting more and more hyped out about it, and due to some leaked endings for Halo 5: Guardians over the Halo subreddit, the Office of Naval Intelligence, a.k.a ONI, has taken control of it and this is their statement for it:
“ONI has taken control of the /r/Halo ChatterNet sector. ONI lockdown of this sector will end on 26.10.2558.
Self-post only will be activated on 20.10.2558. This is due to reduce civilian traffic and chatternet buzz.
A dossier of mission parameters is now shipping to agents worldwide, thus operation details may leak. Here is how you can maintain operational security.

Not following any of these rules will result in detainment at Midnight Facility , the length of which will depend on the comment or submission.

We all grieve the late Master Chief and are looking forward to viewing his last chapter. Please respect your fellow citizens and follow these guidelines.”
ONI has also compiled and distribute a catch-up guide for those that are new to the story or those that want to recall some of the Halo story moments, which can also be found on the Halo subreddit.
As you all know Halo 5: Guardians will be released this October 27 exclusively on Xbox One.
