Mighty No. 9 may have been delayed until December

Update: It looks like an Xbox employee copied and pasted the old European preorder information onto the American site without updating anything. If you notice the time zone refers to EEST which is Eastern European Summer Time. Xbox Support also confirmed that this was outdated information and the staff handling the website posted inaccurate information.

Mighty No. 9 has had a troubling development history and now it looks like it’s been delayed again. According to its Xbox Store listing, the title is now scheduled to release on December 2. The most recent update from the developers was posted on January 25 on Kickstarter, and claimed that “we expect it to realistically be in Spring 2016” and that “although we are far past our original release date, the release of Mighty No. 9 is still right around the corner”. Since then, no other information or updates have been posted. The community who so diligently backed Might Number 9 has been left completely in the dark, and this new information from the Xbox Store suggests that the developers are trying to sneakily get away with a fourth delay of their game without even officially announcing the change to their supporters.

This will definitely not be welcome news to the thousands of backers on Kickstarter. The game has been a series of broken promises and I really hope that the delay is the only problem it has. I hope the game isn’t plagued by technical issues because it seems like the developers bit off a little more than they could chew. I guess we’ll have to wait until December 2 to figure it out.
