Player Two, a short film released by director John Wikstrom, tells the story of a boy and an original Xbox left over from his deceased father. While short, clocking in at about 1 minute 45 seconds, The director has created an amazing piece of work that manages to hold a lot of emotion in such a short running time.
The video is based on a story told in a YouTube comments thread by a user named 00WARTHERAPY00 on a video entitled ‘Can Video Games be a Spiritual Experience?’ The commenter shared his experiences about finding his father’s time trial ghost in a game called Rally Sports Challenge for the original Xbox which forms the basis for the video.
This video is definitely a well-done piece of work and I think it is a project that everyone should experience. If you do want to watch the video, click below for more.
