Update 1: Last night we saw the player count go up to 80,000 gamers.
Call of Duty: Black Ops became backward compatible on Xbox One today and already people are noticing the large influx of gamers on the multiplayer side. While we can verify that there are more than 60,000 gamers currently playing the title, we don’t know how many there were before. According to numerous sources, the number was quite low at around 5,000 people.
Good lord, there was less than 5,000 playing BO1 zombies on Xbox 360 today. Now it’s on 60,000+ thanks to backwards compatibility! 😍🙌

There was also a sales spike by more than 11,000% registered on Amazon which propelled the title up on the retailer’s charts. Backward compatibility is definitely here to stay and it can have amazing results. More developers should support it.
