A new app has debuted on the Windows 10 Store today, for the fitness tracking service, Fitbit. The app can now be downloaded on any Windows 10 PCs, and any other devices running the operating system. Later, the app will be compatible with Windows 10 Mobile and Xbox One, once updates arrive later in the year.

The app has been designed specifically for Windows 10, and dynamically adjusts to different devices. The app will has a universal experience, which translates accurately, regardless of hardware. For those with compatible hardware, Continuum can be used, allowing seamless reconstruction of the user interface, based on the current state of the device. The app supports both fullscreen and windowed mode.

The app is compatible with all Fitbit branded fitness trackers, including the lower end devices, such as the Fitbit One and Fitbit Zip. Not only are the wearable devices supported, as the Fitbit Aria, a Wi-Fi enabled Smart Scale can also be used with the application. Similar functionality can be expected on other Windows 10 editions, releasing later in the year.

The Fitbit app on Windows 10 has a large focus on efficiency, a similar emphasis that the operating itself has been marketed to offer. The app supports Cortana and Notification Center, allowing information to be naturally inputted, and responses via notifications, updating your progress towards goals. The live tile for the app allows more information to be displayed than the previous version on Windows 8. On here, steps, calories, and other collected data can be displayed via the Start menu, at one quick glance.

The app can be downloaded from the Windows 10 universal store, here.
