Microsoft, Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games have announced the new Furious 7 Car Pack for Forza Horizon 2. As I expected, Microsoft have released a car pack which includes the new cars found in the ‘Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious’ standalone expansion, but this time at a cost. Included in this pack are eight new customizable cars and it’s available starting later today for $5. That’s two additional cars than what’s included over the standard monthly car pack. Microsoft also have some exclusive deals running for the Forza Horizon 2 Season Pass and the full game too.
The 1970 Dodge Charger R/T “Fast & Furious” Edition features a 426 Hemi under the hood pumping out 425 horsepower in its stock configuration. I’s worth mentioning that this highly modified “Fast & Furious” edition has a fully functioning supercharger and street blower scoop sticking out of a hole in the hood, pushing its actual power output close to 900hp. A custom coil-over race suspension, 18 inch wheels, extra wide tires and massive disc brakes turn all that power into a real high performance machine. Let’s just say nothing should get in the way of this on the road or off the road.
Next up is the 1970 Plymouth Cuda “Fast & Furious” Edition which features 600 horsepower of raw performance and power from the race-bred 426 Hemi, the Cuda could hit 100 mph in around 14 seconds. If that doesn’t catch your eye, then maybe its bold colours, bulging fenders and gorgeous details will.
Let’s get in something that nobody could shoot through. The 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited “Fast & Furious” Edition. This Jeep is unstoppable, it’s bulletproof and highly-modified, running a huge turbo-diesel motor. If it was thrown out of a plane in Furious 7, then it can handle anything you throw at it.
If you’re looking for something stylish, the 2014 Maserati Ghibli S “Fast & Furious” Edition might be for you. There is no substitute for the luxury and elegance of this Italian touring coupe and it’s driven by Deckard Shaw in the film. Under the immense hood lies a technologically advanced twin-turbo V6 with more than 400 horsepower.
Next is the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner “Fast & Furious” Edition. This is a muscle car that was faster than most police cars of its era that could take the punishment without complaints. Before you destroy the competition off the line, intimidate them with the “Air-grabber,” which in 1970 was remotely actuated, as well as functional, then let that HEMI 426 do the talking.
It might only have 370 horsepower, but the 2015 Dodge Charger R/T “Fast & Furious” Edition looks pretty damn fine. The RT in this stands for “Road and Track” and while it’s no supercar having four doors once you get behind that wheel with that Hemi roaring you’ll soon realize that you all you need to do is nothing more than sitting back and enjoying the ride.
Now it’s onto my favourite. It was awesome in the Fast and Furious expansion and I can’t wait to see what crazy tunes are made for this beast. The 2015 Dodge Challenger “Fast & Furious” Edition features crash bars integrated into its shape that make this car more a weapon of the road. Again, it features a Hemi under the hood and this version of the Challenger has given new life to the production muscle car.
Everyone likes something free and this month’s free car is the 1998 Toyota Supra “Fast & Furious” Edition. This was the king of Japanese sports cars back in its day. It might look great and it’s handling is also great but all that can be forgotten once you go into the real meat of the 2JZ engine. This motor has found its way to the hearts of many import-loving horsepower geeks. To say it is highly tunable is an understatement; simply put, you can wring power out of this thing all day long. After it’s day, the world longed for a replacement for this car but the Toyota FT-1 concept car was the onl rumoured thing to do so. Looks like 1998 was the last year of the Toyota Supra.
