HoloLens is quite possibly the most revolutionary technology coming out in the next year. However, unlike other headsets like the Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR which rely on clumsy wires and sockets, HoloLens is completely wireless. In a video from a Microsoft event in Tel Aviv, Bruce Harris, a Microsoft Technical Evangelist, said the HoloLens will run for around 2.5 hours when pushed to its limits, like when playing games, and around 5.5 hours during average use.
These are impressive numbers and should make gaming sessions and viewing films a blast. I can’t wait to get my hands on one. Harris also said that as Microsoft keeps on developing the headset, the field of view and battery life will get even better. I know these are the main concerns many individuals have out there so it’s great to see Microsoft addressing them.
