Razer unveils its own $150 eSports controller for Xbox One

A new Razer controller for Xbox One, called Wildcat, has been announced and it will be available worldwide in October this year. This new controller was design and created with the help of the world’s best eSports athletes, through their feedback, and with tournament play in mind.

For that reason, the controller comes with 4 additional buttons, 2 bumpers at the shoulder, and 2 removable triggers under it that can be fully and individually remap for any other of the controller’s standard controls.

With an optimised weight similar to the original Xbox One Controller and the option to apply palm grips (included), plus the Hype-response ABXY buttons, makes the Wildcat controller suited to the long hours of gaming, and allows you to have a top gaming experience, either in the extended training sessions or tournaments.

The Wildcat controller also comes with a built-in quick control panel that gives you easy access to a variety of functions such as changing between your custom layout profiles or adjusting the game and chat volume.

The technical specifications of the controller are as follows:

• 2 shoulder Hype-response Multi-Function Bumpers
• 2 removable Hype-response Multi-Function Triggers
• 4 Hype-response ABXY action buttons
• 4 button Quick Control Panel
• Optional trigger stops for rapid-fire
• Zero slow-turn analog joysticks
• 3.5 mm audio port for stereo audio output and microphone input
• Optional rubber palm grips
• Quick-release cable feature
• Carrying case
• Detachable 3 m / 10 ft lightweight braided fiber cable with Micro-USB connector
• Approximate size: 106 mm / 4.17” (Length) x 156 mm / 6.14” (Width) x 66 mm / 2.60” (Height)
• Approximate weight (without cable): 260 g / 0.57 lbs

Looks like this year will be a controller fight in the Xbox One world with the release of 2 new controllers, on one side we have the Wildcat Controller by Razer and on the other side the Wireless Elite Controller by Microsoft. Feel free to leave your opinion in the comments below.
