You must act by the end of today, if you want to keep your 30 GB of OneDrive storage. You might remember, back in November, Microsoft announced that they were cutting down users free 15 GB of OneDrive storage, as well as the bonus 15 GB for camera roll photo storage.
After weeks of backlash from angry users, in December, Microsoft quietly announced that you could now keep 15 GB and camera roll bonus, but, you had a time limit and needed you to opt-in. Confused yet? Also taken away was the unlimited storage offered to Office 365 subscribers and this would now be replaced with a 1 TB limit.
At the time of the announcement, Microsoft claimed it was due to a very small number of users taking advantage of having no limits with some OneDrive customers using in excess of 75 TB of storage. Microsoft did announce that new storage packages would become available early this year, with 50 GB becoming available for a monthly subscription of $1.99 per month. Prices in other regions have not been mentioned at this time.
So today, January 31st, is the last day for you to opt-in to keep your OneDrive benefits. Those who don’t opt-in will be moved down to the new 5 GB package, and further storage can only be added, at this time, by purchasing an Office 365 subscription.
So with no time to waste, what are you waiting for. Click the link below before today ends and keep your free package, or lose it forever. Keep your storage here.
