Larry Hryb, better known as Major Nelson on Twitter and Xbox Live, just confirmed a system update for the Xbox One will roll out today. Don’t get too excited. It contains no new features, just a few behind-the-scenes bug fixes. The next major update to Xbox One is expected to launch in February. Mike Ybarra said this a few weeks ago if I recall correctly.
Microsoft has added a lot of features to the Xbox One over the past year and while today’s update might not be as significant as the past ones, it still demonstrates their commitment to constantly improve the console’s software. I’m happy as long as we keep on getting regular updates at this crazy pace.
