Update: Outlast 2 features multiple characters according to the developer so you can play as many people. The image depicts a woman holding some type of weapon but there will be more characters too.
A new image released from Outlast 2 may hint that the player will be able to use weapons of some sort.
There is no word as to who the person in the picture is, so it could also be a villain in the game, but we feel this is significant because the first game did not allow the player to use any weapons.
Outlast is a first-person survival horror game published by Red Barrels which originally released in 2013 on PC. You played as a journalist who decided to investigate an Asylum based on rumors of unethical experiments there. Throughout the game, the player could not take part in any combat. It looks like this could change in the sequel.
We will update this story when we have any information about who the character in the picture is.
Outlast 2 will be releasing in Fall 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
