Nine games drop out of Game Pass at 10:00 UTC on October 16, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is the name most members will notice.
The dates come from Microsoft’s own store and catalog feeds rather than an Xbox Wire post, because there has been no October Game Pass wave announcement. The Leaving soon list that xbox.com renders holds eight product IDs.
A ninth game, Nova Roma, carries the same exit timestamp in Microsoft’s catalog data without turning up on that row.
When Clair Obscur leaves Game Pass and what it costs to keep
All nine return the same exit stamp of 10:00 UTC on October 16, on every tier they belong to. For a US member that is 3:00 a.m. Pacific and 6:00 a.m. Eastern, so October 15 is the last full day any of them sits in the library.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 joined Ultimate on day one, April 24, 2025. Its Microsoft Store page lists it at $49.99 in the US.
That is $20 under a new first-party release at $69.99, which is the comparison anyone part-way through a long RPG is about to make.
The Leaving soon row tells members to save on these games now. The catalog returns no discount against any of the nine, so there is no sale figure to quote.

A Plague Tale: Requiem has been in the library since October 18, 2022, two days short of four years. Nothing else on the row comes close to that.
Evil West, Pacific Drive, The Casting of Frank Stone and Superball all arrived inside a two-week stretch last October. They leave together a year on.
Nova Roma is the ninth game leaving PC Game Pass on October 16
Nova Roma, the Roman city builder from Lion Shield and Hooded Horse, carries the same October 16 exit date on PC Game Pass and Ultimate. It is a PC-only Game Preview title, and it is absent from the eight-game row.
Windows versions of A Plague Tale: Requiem and Evil West are separate store listings with the same exit date. The honest count is nine games across eleven listings.
The tier spread is not uniform either. Superball is the only one of the nine attached to Game Pass Essential, and Nova Roma is the only one limited to PC Game Pass and Ultimate.
The two Focus Entertainment games, A Plague Tale: Requiem and Evil West, sit on the console tiers and Ultimate rather than PC Game Pass, with their Windows editions tracked under those separate IDs.
The additions side is better documented: ICXM counted more than 20 new games due between October 6 and 9.
Five Ubisoft titles are also free to play for a limited run. Nothing in the catalog data says whether any of the nine leavers come back.
