December’s free Games with Gold include Outlast and Sleeping Dogs

Update: Kalimba and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood are free in Germany and Japan respectively.

Xbox’s Games with Gold for December have been announced and it looks like its going to be a very nice early Christmas for everyone this year.

On the Xbox One side of things you’ll be able to pick up the fantastic Definitive Edition of United Front’s Sleeping Dogs. The remaster includes spruced up visuals and an inclusion of all the game’s DLC. I recommend, for returning players, to play the Year of the Snake DLC first to unlock the Police Uniform and then play through the original single player dressed as a cop the entire time. Hilarity ensues.

Also on Xbox One is the fantastic first-person horror game, Outlast. For fans of crazed killers, mutilation and digitized dongs, Outlast is the perfect game to play when the lights go off.

For 360 owners—and of course Xbox One owners through backward compatibility—the critically acclaimed platformer Outland will be available from the 1st to the 15th of December followed by the, frankly, awemazing open-world racer, Burnout Paradise.

This month is definitely a high point in my books. It looks like anyone who gets an Xbox Live subscription this Christmas has got one just in time to get some amazing games! Tell us what you think in the comments below.
