Telltale revealed in a postscript for their SXSW presentation that the Batman game they are currently developing will run on their latest engine. Telltale’s engine has evolved a lot over the years but they have promised many new features coming with this one. In my opinion the old engine is just broken and has way too many problems. While we don’t know the specifics of these improvements and features, we do know that the game will be giving you the option to play as either Batman or just Bruce himself. It also sounds like they are putting a lot more weight and options behind the choices you make and how you approach things in the game as well.
I think it’s great that even though Telltale has had some major successes lately that they are still looking for ways to make their games even better and I can’t wait to play it when it comes out sometime this summer. Thank God they’re fixing the engine. Check out some more details revealed about the game at SXSW here.
