After the Xbox One backwards compatibility announcement last month, Ed Boon, the director of Mortal Kombat X and Injustice: Gods Among Us, announced that Mortal Kombat 9 and Injustice would make their way to the next-generation console. He tweeted out confirmation on June 15, 2015…pretty much immediately after the backwards compatibility reveal.

Hopefully the two games will be available for Xbox One owners when backwards compatibility launches for everyone this holiday season. I never played Injustice so I’m really excited to give it a shot. It looks like a lot of fun.
