Quantum Break sold really well according to Microsoft

Quantum Break sold really well according to Aaron Greenberg. The game beat Microsoft’s expectations and we might even see a sequel. However, I’ll be honest, I doubt it. Greenberg said, “Quantum Break sold really well. It exceeded what we expected it to do. We were really pleased with how Quantum Break did. But just like every movie, not every game needs a sequel, sometimes it’s okay.”

His wording seems vague and usually when executives talk in these terms it means that the game probably won’t be getting a sequel. While many people liked it, I personally thought it was quite disappointing. However, I didn’t write the review so it doesn’t reflect my views. When you launch a new franchise, you want it to be a standalone and complete experience. Quantum Break felt like it was cut short and the ending was just bizarre. I know Remedy likes to do that but that’s not what gamers are looking for. Either ways, we’ll see what the future holds but I wouldn’t bet on it.
