Smite is getting upgraded to 60 FPS on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game designer of the title made this announcement on Twitter in which he embedded a YouTube video of the new graphics. They look silky smooth.
The gameplay should feel more precise as the input lag is greatly reduced at 60 FPS. This is definitely a welcome addition for console owners and I can’t wait until the update rolls out to everyone. I wish other companies would follow and update other titles to the higher frame rate even if it meant they would do it weeks to months later. The gameplay experience offered at 60 FPS is worth it.
