The developer behind Evolve, the multiplayer-only four vs. one game that launched on Xbox One, is apparently working on a new unannounced IP according to their careers website. The roles being advertised include Narrative Director and Senior Character artist. However, Turtle Rock Studios might not be working on a new Evolve game, unless, by some speculation they broke up into two development teams.
Evolve’s lackluster reception was marred by its high price and exorbitant pricing on DLC. The game was published by 2K. The game revolved around teamwork bringing down a creature, and each person in the team had a distinct role in bringing the enemy down. The interesting twist with this game was that the enemy was also played by a human. This inspired games like the now cancelled Fable Legends.
Turtle Rock didn’t show any new IPs or games at E3, so it remains a mystery. We might see something being revealed at next year’s E3, or at Gamescom.
