Windows Store might be coming to Xbox One in June

According to a report by WinBeta, the Xbox One will get the Windows Store in June. Along with the Windows Store the console will get its first selection of universal apps. This has definitely been a long time coming and finally we have a tentative release date. The report reads as follows:

“We already know that Redstone will launch in two waves, the first of which will be happening in June. This first update is being developed under the tag RS1, and according to my sources will focus mostly on the convergence of different Windows 10 devices such as PC, Xbox and Phone. RS1 will heavily concentrate on the Universal App Platform, bringing the Windows Store to Xbox One and introducing more Project Centennial and Islandwood apps to the Store.

Which apps do you want to see on Xbox One? Hopefully this report is in fact true and the feature isn’t delayed like a lot of other abilities on the console. We’ll just have to wait and see.
