Studio head Josh Holmes leaves 343 Industries

It looks like Josh Holmes, studio head for Halo, is leaving 343 Industries to work on indie games. In a post he said, “I have loved every moment here on Halo but I find myself drawn to new horizons. This month I’m leaving 343 Industries and excited for my next adventure to pursue independent game development.”

It’s definitely a drastic change going from a large franchise like Halo to smaller games but it’s a challenge nonetheless. I wonder what we’ll see from him. With that said, I’m glad Halo 6 will get new talent and a different outlook. Chris Lee, originally from Bungie, will replace him. Let’s see how that changes the franchise and the sequel. I’m glad someone who worked directly at Bungie is replacing him.
