MEET THE GAMER: XxThe C1eanerxX

What is your Gamertag and the reason for choosing it?

My Gamertag is XxThe C1eanerxX. It was picked out for me when we played Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare from the Brady Games walkthrough book. One of the class set ups was named The Cleaner. So, since I clean out maps really good on multiplayer, it stuck.

What is your favourite genre/s of game and why?

FPS and RPG. The former allows me to spend time with family and reconnect in a private party whereas the latter gives me some time alone to enjoy and escape my everyday worries.

What is your favourite game so far?  (Doesn’t need to be an Xbox title!)

Black Ops 3! I’m really happy with what Treyarch has done with the game. They were able to find a good balance between the verticality of Advanced Warfare and the previous games.

What is your most memorable gaming moment?

The spawn killing on Ghost Recon First Assault on the original Xbox. Whether you were shooting or on the receiving end, it was a challenge to keep down or to get out of – good times!

Which achievement has been the most frustrating to obtain?  How long did it take you?

I don’t hunt down achievements so it’s always a nice surprise when I get one.

What is your gamerscore and how long has it taken you to get it?

18,415. I’ve been on Live for just about 10 years, so that’s how long it took me.

What is your gaming guilty pleasure?

Watching the bullet go through Nazi soldiers on Sniper Elite V2. It’s a bit gruesome but I like it.

If you could pick a video game character, who would you be and why?

The Dragonborn in Skyrim. Bethesda found a way to make the player feel important even though the hero is anonymous in this epic adventure.

If you could pick a location, from any game, to visit, where would it be and why?

It would have to Skyrim. I live in Canada so I enjoy the virtual snow and wind much more than the real stuff. A nice fire in the hearth and some Black-Briar mead and I’m good.

Finally, where do you see gaming heading in the next decade?

I can’t wait to see the Oculus Rift and Morpheus come to market. I really hope that they are user-friendly and affordable lest they find the same fate as peripherals that were recently dropped because of low usage.
