It looks like two major games are getting significant upgrades for Xbox One X. According to the Xbox pages of The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, both games will run at 4K on the upcoming console. They’ll also feature HDR lighting and other advanced effects. We don’t know if this is native 4K or checkerboarded but the buffer will be 2160p. The buffer on the PlayStation 4 Pro will probably be 1800p or 1440p.
We didn’t get confirmation that both of these games would be upgraded beforehand but now we know. This is definitely great news for those wanting to play these titles on Xbox One X. We’ll keep you posted if other titles are getting similar upgrades but the library is already quite significant.
