Microsoft Jewel is out now as a standalone app on iOS and Android, and it pays out Xbox achievements from a phone.
Xbox Wire says it is the fifth mobile app from Microsoft Casual Games and the first new mobile launch in seven years. The post went up on September 30.
How Microsoft Jewel Xbox achievements work on iOS and Android
Xbox Wire puts it plainly: sign in with a Microsoft account to track your accomplishments and keep building your Xbox profile wherever you play.
The achievements land on the same Microsoft account an Xbox Series X|S owner already uses, so the gamerscore goes to one profile rather than a separate mobile tally.
The post gives no gamerscore total for the game and names no individual achievement, so how much a completionist can add is still open.
Progress also syncs across iOS, Android and the standalone PC app through that account, which means a board left half-cleared on a phone picks up on the desktop version.
The post frames that as the point of the launch: play on your phone while you are away from your computer, then return to the PC version without starting over.
Microsoft calls the app a new way to earn Xbox achievements from a mobile device, with download links in the post for the App Store, Google Play and the PC version.

Game Pass Ultimate members get the perks on mobile too
Game Pass members receive Premium benefits when playing Microsoft Jewel on PC, Xbox Wire says, including an ad-free experience and additional in-game benefits. Ultimate members receive those Premium benefits on both PC and mobile.
Premium there is the paid version of the game, not the Game Pass Premium tier. The perk is an ad-free build with extra in-game benefits, which is not the same as a tier upgrade.
So the subscription buys the upgraded build of a free app rather than a catalog download. The Microsoft Store listing makes the same offer in its own words, promising an ad-free game and extra bonuses with Xbox Game Pass.
What the post does not cover is whether Game Pass Essential or Premium members get anything at all on a phone, or whether the perk is checked per session.
There is no price for the paid version in the post either, and no mention of whether the mobile build carries in-app purchases beyond the subscription perk.
Microsoft Casual Games returns to mobile after seven years
Microsoft Jewel is not a new game so much as a new front door. Xbox Wire says anyone who has played it on PC, inside Microsoft Solitaire Collection or through the Xbox mobile app will find the gameplay familiar.
The named features are Daily Challenges, Bonus Jewels, Power Jewels and Challenge Mode. Daily Challenges set a new goal each day.
On the Microsoft Store the publisher is Xbox Game Studios and the listing carries a PC Game Pass badge. The PC version is the one that has been around; the phone version is the new part.
Xbox achievements reached phones a decade ago through Minecraft on iOS and Android in 2016, while the back catalog went the other way: Phil Spencer called adding achievements to original Xbox games hard to do in 2015.
A match-3 puzzler on a phone is a long way from either. It still writes to the same profile.
