To my surprise, many Xbox 360 users haven’t subscribed to Xbox Live Gold yet, which leaves them with Xbox Live Silver. The main reason many subscribe to Xbox Live Gold is for the ability to play multiplayer, and the many sales on games that Gold members have access to. Some of this has changed, however, for this weekend only.
Xbox Live Silver members who still play on the Xbox 360 can play multiplayer, for free, this weekend only. The page regarding this on the Xbox website, which has since been taken down for some reason, states that the weekend lasts from April 1 to 3 and includes games such as Minecraft, Fifa 16, Halo 4, and Battlefield Hardline. It is unclear whether the free weekend is only available for these games.
