After Punch Jump confirmed that the Xbox One S was topping charts at Best Buy, the new Xbox One S Limited Edition Gears of War 4 console managed to jump in at the top this week on Amazon.com. The new red themed console jumped in at number 6 on Amazon, beating out a surge in interest with the Nintendo NES system which launches late this year.
The Xbox One S also topped the most wished for console on Amazon. Console bundles which went on sale earlier this month, in which you received a gift card, Xbox One, Halo game and controller managed to sell out, remaining on the charts even after it became unavailable, outselling the closest PS4 by a mile.
With a massive surge in sales for the Xbox One console, it remains to be seen how Microsoft will fare in the NPD reports, which they historically ceded to their competitor’s thanks to lackluster interest in their Xbox One console. The XBox One S seems to be the cure for the cold that they suffered.
The Xbox One S is launching next month for $399, with the $299 version dropping sometime this fall. The Limited Edition Gears of War 4 console launches this October and includes the Ultimate Edition of Gears of War 4.
